Twitter Stuff
Tomorrow Twitter is turning off Basic Auth, and going with OAuth only. For the life of me, I haven't been able to get OAuth to work with Twitter; every time I make a request for a token, I get a 401. As best as I can tell, I'm setting things up right, but clearly I'm doing something wrong. In the meantime, the auto-tweets will be coming to an end.

While you're figuring it out, you should create an account on identi.ca and post there. Identica can then forward the post to Twitter.
[link 1]has information on the necessary API.
Another option is to use a service like Pingfm or HelloTXT, but I don't know whether they have an API for your posting tool to hook into.

Looks like you got it working. I'm seeing posts "from API" today.
