One of Those days
It's been an awesome start to the day - didn't sleep well last night, and when I woke up, I immediately got sick. On the upside of that, I felt better afterwards. Then I had to take my wife's car to get its emissions checked, but it failed the test due to a faulty sensor - why they don't just test what's actually coming out of the tailpipe in that situation mystifies me. Let's hope that tomorrow's flight to Seattle goes better...

If it's the oxygen sensor, those are usually easy to change yourself. Perhaps not as quick as changing a Smalltalk InputSensor, but close. You can usually pick up the part from any auto parts store. It does often require a special wrench socket (to work around the wire), but you can usually buy or borrow one from the store.
It's common for O2 sensors to go out, and a failing one will affect your car's performance and mileage. It is often the emissions test or check engine light that alerts you to it.
