Welcome to episode 24 of "That Podcast: An FNV Diary" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith and I document our trials and tribulations in Fallout: New Vegas.

Today is pretty much the end of the road for "That Podcast" - we wrap up the latest (and last) DLC, "Lonesome Road", and offer a few retrospective ideas on the game. Along the way we mused a bit about where the franchise might go from here. Thanks for listening!

We'll likely have one more (very brief) audio update to announce the particulars for our planned Skyrim podcast. So keep the iTunes subscriptions live, at least for a little while longer.

On today's podcast, Michael and James are joined by maki, and guest host Austin Healy, one of our regular listeners. The topic - what else: the last DLC, "Lonesome Road". We cover the entire DLC except for the ending, as - at record time - only Austin had finished the DLC. Next podcast we'll go over the possible outcomes, and likely wrap the entire podcast up. Thanks for listening!

On today's podcast, Michael and James give their first impressions of "Old World Blues" - the latest DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. So far - it's a big thumbs up!.

This just covers our first take on the DLC - we'll be back with more soon. Also on the podcast this week - audio feedback from a listener, and some feedback we took from our iTunes reviews. Speaking of which, we really appreciate all of the reviews - keep them coming!

Kill Joshua and Daniel, siding effectively with the White Legs

On today's podcast, Michael and James talk about luck, and a pacifist approach to playong the game. Michael just did a playthrough without killing anything - and it turns out that such a playthrough is a lot more practical than it sounds. He also did that playthrough with a luck of ten (casino ejection time!), while on hardcore mode.

On today's podcast, Michael, James and Maki talk about the final battle when you side with Caesar, and take a look ahead at what they hope to see in terms of mods and dlc. Michael and Maki also express their displeasure at the XBox exclusive first DLC coming later this month, while James lords it over them :) This may be the last of these podcasts for a bit - we think we've covered the game. We will be back when DLC and cool mods appear though, so stay subscribed.

Michael isn't on this cast - he's on a work trip to Europe.
On today's podcast, Makahlua joins us again as we skirt around the end game. We talked aboiut crashes (we've started hitting them big time), companion quests, and some of the more remote areas of the game map, like Guardian Peak. We also mention a couple of spots with good treasure you might have missed - but the hidden cache I mentioned towards the end is actually near Searchlight, not Primm. To find it, go around the irradiated Searchlight to the north, and you should "stumble" on it.

Welcome to episode 1 of "FNV Diary" - a podcast where Michael Lucas-Smith and I document our trials and tribulations in Fallout: New Vegas. We both got the game yesterday - Michael via Steam on the PC, me via UPS truck for the XBox 360. We got started pretty much immediately :)

In this episode, we talk about the early game as we saw it. If you don't want spoilers, don't listen in - we are talking about what we saw, how we dealt with what we saw, and what the options looked like. This isn't a review cast so much as a diary case (thus the title).

The schedule for this podcast will depend on how much game time we get in, which of course depends on our jobs (or, in my case, my job search) and regular lives. We should be hitting the pod-waves regularly though - you can subscribe in iTunes (or any podcatcher) using this feed, or this one for the AAC edition.

If you want to download the podcast directly, I've provided it in three formats:

MP3 Edition

AAC Edition

Ogg Vorbis Edition

Enjoy the podcast, and we'll see you in the wastelands!
